Tina Cox combines strong leadership skills in managing large company
communication operations with a unique ability to marshal IT resources to meet
traditional and cutting edge communication needs. Over the course of a
well-rounded internal communication career, her ability to think both
strategically and tactically have been an asset to an impressive roster of
companies.
At PeopleSoft, purchased by Oracle for $10 billion in 2005, Tina founded the
internal communication function and built a communication infrastructure to
support the organization’s rapid expansion from 1,000 to 10,000 employees. She
assisted the founding CEO with all his communication programming, and led all
strategic companywide communication around brand strategy, business issues,
acquisitions, organizational changes and crisis communication. She also designed
and oversaw implementation of PeopleSoft’s first intranet.
At Robert Mondavi Corporation, Tina initiated the first companywide internal
communication function. She managed the communication strategy there through
five acquisitions and divestments, started leadership and field sales
communication forums and implemented enhancements to the company’s vision and
values. She also led the effort to introduce the company’s first intranet,
Connect, which was recognized as an industry leader by CIO Magazine.
Tina has built from the ground up or redesigned a dozen company intranets.
Over the course of these projects, she evaluated competing technologies, managed
production timelines and integrated disparate websites to form a single
enterprise website. In every project, Tina is skilled at building consensus and
ambassadorship within large organizations for new programs and to support
companywide cultural change.
Tina holds a B.S. from the University of Southern California, with a
Marketing emphasis. Tina and her husband make and sell 5,000 cases of award-winning Pinot Noir every year near their home in Sonoma, California.
