Kathy’s
extensive background includes strategic communication planning, human resources
communication consulting, training program development and delivery and
marketing communication. Known for her strategic perspectives, creative writing
skills and speaking abilities, Kathy provides the perfect combination of talents
to engage and enlighten employee audiences.
With over 25
years of human resources communication experience, Kathy has developed employee
campaigns for many Fortune 500 companies. Last year, she single-handedly
produced four versions of an appealing, comprehensive open enrollment campaign
for Pacific Gas and Electric Company, working within a three-month timeframe.
And her compelling “Talk It Up” campaign for Cisco spurred employees and
managers to open up about diversity, generating a real commitment to building a
more inclusive culture.
Having worked
on both the consulting and corporate sides of the house, Kathy fully understands
client perspectives and needs. At Watson Wyatt Worldwide, she directed the San
Francisco communication practice, managing a staff of six and implementing many
award-winning campaigns. At Kraft, Inc., she produced the companywide employee
video program and managed all human resources communications. And at Allstate
Insurance Company, she developed and delivered management, interpersonal skills
and presentation skills courses.
Kathy holds a
B.A. in Journalism and an MS. in education from Indiana University. In her
“spare” time, she conducts business writing courses, speaks on employee
communication topics for professional organizations, writes books and articles
and gets her creative juices flowing in acting and improv classes.
